Native C++ components supporting clinical imaging workflows in a SPECT workstation environment.

My current work sits close to the boundary between application behaviour, hardware interaction, Windows APIs and long-lived production code.

  • Maintain and stabilize core acquisition control and workstation workflow modules.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues using crash dump analysis and hardware simulator reproduction.

Automotive ECU Diagnostic Engine

Diagnostic infrastructure developed during my work on automotive software at TCS/Nissan.

The work involved diagnostic protocols, OTX execution, ECU communication and tooling used in automotive testing workflows.

  • Engineered ePTI cryptographic validation utility using OpenSSL, reducing vehicle test turnaround time by 30% and increasing test coverage by 15%.

Low-Latency Market Feed Simulator

A personal experiment exploring throughput, queuing, and latency constraints.

A personal experiment to understand what actually happens when throughput and latency start becoming first-class constraints. I'm using it to explore message parsing, queues, memory behaviour, concurrency and measurement rather than treating 'low latency' as a buzzword.

  • Generates synthetic event streams to observe queue depth and backpressure.
  • Compares lock-free queues with bounded ring buffers under concurrent producer/consumer loads.
  • Instruments latency distributions to inspect tail variance.

About Me

The Engineer & The Craft

Most of my working days happen somewhere between C++, Windows, debugging sessions, performance profiles, and figuring out why something that worked perfectly yesterday has decided to throw an access violation today.

I'm currently a Senior Software Engineer at Siemens Healthineers, working on clinical imaging workstation software for SPECT systems. Before that, I spent several years at TCS working on automotive diagnostic software for Nissan.

I enjoy understanding how things work underneath the abstractions — from memory and concurrency to protocols and operating-system behaviour. A lot of my side projects come from that curiosity.

Outside software, I like badminton, going to the gym, sketching, reading, listening to music, and learning things that have nothing to do with my day job.

And yes, The Office is probably on the list.

Guiding Principles

Understand what the machine is doing

Abstractions are useful. Knowing what's underneath them is better.

Clarity beats cleverness

Code should be straightforward to read, maintain, and debug when things go wrong.

Measure before optimizing

Measure first with a profiler rather than guessing where bottlenecks are.

Don't take yourself too seriously

Take the craft seriously, but stay humble and keep a sense of perspective.
